VBR Hosted Events
The VBR hosts several events that are great opportunities for our members to learn and connect. Listed below are a few of the events we offer each year. Visit the Classes & Events calendar to find out when events are scheduled.
During the challenges of the pandemic, some events were hosted live online, or as a hybrid of online and in-person.
The Vail Board of Realtors® hosts two General Membership Meetings per year - spring and fall. This is an opportunity for members to network, get up to speed on what is happening with the Board, and hear from an informative or motivational speaker.
A small Affiliate Expo is included in the event and members are encouraged to visit the participating booths. We also host a prize drawing with items provided by the participating Affiliates!
This event is free for all members to attend (Realtor® and Affiliate).
Each year in early December, the Vail Board of Realtors® hosts a year-end celebration for our members and their guests.
The event is also a fundraiser for the Vail Board of Realtors® Foundation and its mission: To support the community, non-profit organizations and VBR members with need-based financial assistance, education, and disaster relief.
The party includes live music, food, drink, games, and fun photo booth, and a silent auction to support the VBRF. Sponsorship opportunities are available to support the event.
The VBR's Business & Affiliate Expo is a larger version of the Expos we host as part of the General Membership Meeting - and is a stand-alone event.
Over thirty Affiliate members participate in the Expo, which includes food, drink, and door prizes provided by the Affiliates. The Expo is generally hosted during the summer. Participation is offered first-come, first-serve to Affiliates.
The Vail Board of Realtors and the Vail Board of Realtors Foundation are supportive of the community, participating in fundraising and awareness events. Past events include sponsorship of the Playhouse Project, a fundraiser where custom-built playhouses were auctioned off for charity.
Other fundraisers and events include but aren't limited to, Homes for Hounds supporting the Eagle Valley Humane Society, and Benches of Avon supporting several local charities.
Each autumn the Vail Board of Realtors® celebrates our outgoing board, recognizes our volunteers, and installs our incoming Board of Directors. The evening includes a seated dinner, drinks, music, a presentation recognizing our Board, volunteers, special award recipients, and new Vail Pro Designees.
Proceeds from the Installation benefit the Vail Board of Realtors® Foundation and its support of the Eagle County Community. Sponsorships are available for the event.
Each year the VBR hosts an Appreciation Party to recognize our Affiliate members. It's also an opportunity for Realtor® and Affiliate members to mingle and network.
Our Affiliate members are trusted, real estate-related partners who support the VBR and its programs through sponsorships. This includes our educational classes, fundraising events, Welcome Home Bag program, and other community events.
Each year the VBR organizes a group of members, and guests, to participate in a Build Day with Habitat for Humanity. Activities can include painting, planting trees, framing walls, or whatever is needed.
Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley works to help local families achieve strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
The Vail Board of Realtors® co-hosts a mixer with the Vail Valley Partnership. The mixers are hosted at an off-site location in the valley (restaurant, hotel, etc..) and include appetizers, drinks and networking.
The VBR also participates in the All Chamber Mixer, an event that is co-hosted by various chambers and professional groups in the valley. This is hosted every two to three years.
The VBR hosts the occasional "Lunch & Learn" opportunity, including our annual REALFire®/Wildfire Awareness class. Because who can learn on an empty stomach?
Some opportunities may include continuing education credits. Please check the calendar listing.
