Our committees are made up of members who graciously volunteer their time to help strengthen the association's events, services, member offerings, and strategic plan initiatives.

2019 Committees 

Education Committee

Provides educational programming by identifying and working with the best trainers available. Analyze marketing, attendance, enjoyment levels to ensure consistently improving, high-level CE and non-CE offerings.

Finance & Budget Committee

Reviews board financials on a quarterly/annual basis considers and makes recommendations regarding board finances, budgeting, annual auditing.

Government Affairs Committee
This committee reviews legislation, recommending action as needed to protect the interests of REALTORS®, our industry, and clients. We work with the county and municipalities, also local, state and national REALTOR® boards to carry out initiatives. Examples of projects include Wildfire Mitigation, Colorado Water Plan, Affordable Housing and more.

Public Relations Committee

The committee promotes a positive REALTOR® presence in the community. It also looks at ways to improve and expand Public Outreach.

Membership Committee

Reviews and plans for Member services, including new and existing products and services that would benefit members. Reviews existing and implement new Membership Outreach opportunities, such as the VBR Newsletter, emails, social networking opportunities, and more.

VMLS Operations Committee

Reviews, researches and makes recommendations regarding potential new and existing real estate specific technology-related products and services for members. There is strong integration with the MLS, however, projects are not limited to MLS specific products. Also reviews suggestions and looks for ways to improve the functionality of the MLS system. This may include recommending changes to data fields and also corresponding policies to resolve common issues and make improvements to in the MLS system.

VBRF Golf Tournament Committee
Plans and promotes fundraising events for the VBR Foundation. The VBRF Golf Tournament is the biggest fundraiser of the year!

The Vail Multi-List Service (VMLS) offers REALTORS® access to the MLS for the entire Vail Valley. The VMLS provides REALTORS® real property information for most of Eagle County. The jurisdiction includes all the towns along the I-70 corridor from East Vail to Dotsero and into Northern Eagle County.

Participation in the VMLS is available to Vail Board of REALTOR® Members and Members of other REALTOR® boards in the state of Colorado whom actively endeavor to list and sell real property in the Vail Valley. As a requirement for Participation, an Employing Broker and a participant may apply. If everyone is the office is not going to join they have to waive the terms to join. 

In order to gain access to the VMLS, a pdf New Member Application (374 KB)  must be completed and returned to the VBR office. Please contact Member Services for more information at 970-766-1028.

The Vail Board of Realtors® offers two facility spaces for groups of 12 to 42 people. With upgraded projection systems in each room, we have everything you need to host meetings, training sessions, and professional gatherings.

The VBR office has two spaces available which include a Boardroom and Multi-Purpose room. 

Boardroom

The Boardroom at the Vail Board of Realtors® office can accommodate up to 12 people. This spacious room has a full wall of windows overlooking the Eagle River. The room is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. A contract and credit card is required to guarantee a requested date.

Non-member Rental Rates

  • Full/Half Day Rental: $100

Member Rental Rates

  • Full/Half Day Rental: $50
  • Two Hour Rental: Complimentary (one time per year)

Multi-Purpose Room

The Vail Board of Realtors® offers a state of the art, multi-media facility for meetings and classes. Our Multi-Purpose Room can accommodate up to 42 guests in a classroom setting. The room is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. A contract and credit card is required to guarantee a requested date.

The Vail Board of Realtors® is a local membership for about 700 real estate professionals in the Vail Valley. We provide our members with tools and resources to help our members achieve success in their career. To become a member please complete an application and submit it to the VBR Office. 

Become a Realtor®:

  • Complete a  pdf Realtor and Appraiser Application (374 KB)
  • Return the application to the Vail Board of Realtors® along with a copy of your active license and payment. 
  • Attend a mandatory New Member Orientation at the Vail Board of Realtors® office.

Application Requirements 

Thank you for your interest in joining the Vail Board of Realtors®. In order to process your membership application, please be sure to include the following with your completed application signed by your Managing Broker and the following items:

  • Copy of your real estate license.
  • A letter of Good Standing from your primary/former association, if you are currently a member of NAR with another local REALTOR® association.
  • Complete a 4-hour Code of Ethics & Professional Practice in-person at the Vail Board of Realtors®. Must be completed within 90 days of membership activation.
  • Complete New Member Orientation Course within two-course offerings.

Processing Timeline 

Once we receive your completed applications it will take on average of three business days to process. 

We will send you a confirmation welcome email that will include. 

  • Receipt
  • login ID
  • Information about NAR ethics and new member orientation 

Annual Dues 

Each year members will receive annual dues statements in November and have until January 1st to make payment. These invoices are sent by email to each member.
