Scott Marino grew up in southern California, studied communication at Cal Poly Tech and traveled the world playing rugby. Rugby is what got him to Vail in 1997 and this is where he stayed. “After spending one summer in this beautiful valley I knew I was here for life.” Scott has enjoyed serving on the VBR Membership Committee and the Board of Directors and is looking forward to another year serving the VBR Membership.

Born in Chicago and raised in the Vail Valley since she was 3-years old, Breanna was given the best of both worlds. She acquired a love for the outdoors growing up in the mountains, while also experiencing the fast-paced life the city offers, as she continued to visit Chicago for family reunions each year. Being a local of the Vail Valley for over 20 years, has helped Breanna create a strong network, as well as become an expert on everything the Vail Valley has to offer. During college, she began working in and learning the family business, leasing residential real estate in Downtown Chicago for several summers. Coming from a family who has been involved in real estate for several generations, there is no surprise that Breanna also decided to choose a career in an industry she is so passionate about. After graduating from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Breanna returned to the Vail Valley and began working at 4 Eagle Ranch, a non-profit organization, which supports veterans nation wide, seniors around the valley, local schools and much more. Breanna continues to stay involved at 4 Eagle Ranch, working community and corporate events, and hopes to serve on the 4 Eagle Ranch Board in the coming years. Breanna’s main interests have stemmed from her love for the outdoors. She enjoys skiing and snowboarding, hiking, camping, various water activities, and an immense love for traveling and experiencing the different cultures globally, as well as nation wide.

Kevin Denton - Berkshire Hathaway Home Services

Kevin is a born and raised native of the Vail Valley. During the winter, Kevin spent his time ski racing and playing hockey. Summers were spent on the golf course.
After graduating from BMHS, he received a golf scholarship to Bethany College, in Lindsborg KS. Kevin was Captain of the team his junior year and led the team to Nationals his senior year. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Computer applications.
Kevin continued to pursue his dream of becoming a PGA touring pro for two years in Arizona, playing mini-tour events. In 2007, he moved back to the Vail Valley and took a position at Red Sky Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional.
In 2011, Kevin jumpstarted his sales career when he took the Sales Executive position at Adam’s Rib Ranch. Kevin was the listing agent for Adam’s Rib Ranch a high-end residential golf course community in Eagle, CO. In addition to real estate sales, Kevin was responsible for selling club memberships to Adam’s Mountain Country Club.
In 2015, Adam’s Rib Ranch was sold and Kevin was hired by the new ownership group to rebrand, reposition and relaunch the club and community as Frost Creek. After focusing on growing the club from 32 to 200 members in 8 months, Kevin was promoted to the Director of Sales. Kevin organized and set up Frost Creek Realty and took all the homesites in house.
Kevin left Frost Creek in 2016 to join the Denton Advisory Group within the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Colorado Properties family.

Born and raised in Vail, Tiffany attended the University of Colorado Boulder graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She married her husband, Josh, in December of 2012. They live in Eagle with their almost 4-year-old son, Skyler.

Tiffany grew up in the world of Vail Real Estate. Her stepfather, now retired, was an agent with Christiania Realty for 20 years. Her mother, Gail Ferry, served as a Vice President and managed the Eagle County Branch of Land Title Guarantee Company for over 40 years.

Tiffany joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices as a Broker Associate in 2015, assisting two of the companies top-producing agents, Alida Zwaan, and Page Slevin. In the spring of 2019, she joined the Weinreich Team, bringing a fresh perspective on marketing to the group in addition to continuing to help buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. "Tiffany is young, ambitious and creative”, said Michael Slevin, owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Colorado Properties. “She is a valuable addition to our organization and is already serving clients with her vast knowledge of the area, approachable personality and professionalism.”

Jay Peterson- Slifer Smith & Frampton 

Jay

Born and raised in Minnesota, Jay moved to the Vail Valley in 2008 after falling in love with skiing in the Colorado mountains during childhood ski trips. Originally intending to be in the Valley “only one ski season”, he quickly realized his love for the outdoor adventures that the area has to offer and decided to make it his permanent home. Jay takes advantage of the mountain lifestyle by skiing, biking, camping, hiking, and golfing with his family, friends, and the many visitors coming to the area. After graduating college, Jay worked in the hospitality industry but wanted to apply his customer service background to real estate in the Vail Valley. By demonstrating his ability to bring top tier service and effective communication to Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate, he has made his mark quickly in the business. Jay continues to stay up to date with the best ways to market his client’s homes by focusing on local and national print publications, targeted digital ads, and social media exposure. Jay is truly grateful to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and for the ability to share that love with many guests and visitors from around the world.

Brad Cohn Realtor

Brad has been a member of the Vail Board of Realtors for fifteen years now.  He started at Ascent Sotheby’s International Realty on Bridge Street in 2012 before their transition to LIV-Sotheby’s International Realty, and prior to that he worked at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Bachelor Gulch and Vail.  Brad served the VBR in the past on the Technology Committee, Membership Committee, and previously on the Vail MLS Board.   He looks forward to enhancing the technology to improve efficiencies for the Membership.

Andrew Keiser- Berkshire Hathaway Home Services 

Andrew Keiser

Andrew grew up in Lancaster, PA and in the winter of 1986 he had an experience that became pivotal to his future career decisions. When he snapped on a pair of rental skis in the Pocono Mountains and challenged to keep pace with three friends who grew up skiing in Austria. This was a prelude to a family Spring Break skiing trip to Colorado followed by an "internship" at the Sugarbush Inn, Vermont. After graduating from Cedarville University (Ohio) with a degree in Accounting, he postponed his entrance into the business world for a year and worked as a ski valet for the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek for a season. There his passion for skiing was fueled and many lasting relationships were forged that remain to this day. Professionally, Andrew was fortunate to have several years of valuable experience working for the then, prestigious Big 6 accounting firm Arthur Andersen (Philadelphia) in the division. Colorado, however, had captured Andrew's imagination and in 1995 he accepted a job with East West Resorts a premier resort property management company as an Association Manager. Various assignments later, he made the logical transition from property management to real estate sales in 2000. He became a broker in 2000 and has earned a Graduate of Real Estate as well as the Institute of Fine Homes designations. In addition, Andrew feels honored to have earned numerous annual awards acknowledging his sales proficiency and volume during the intervening 14 years. While he appreciates the recognition, he places more value on the degree of trust his clients afford him in throughout the process of purchasing and selling their homes. His personal goal is to provide honest, ethical real estate services, combined with his exhaustive knowledge of the local resort marketplaces, so that clients and friends can achieve their real estate desires and dreams in the Vail Valley.

Kaeli grew up in Vail, CO and returned this spring after living in Denver for the last 6 years to continue the strong ties she has with the Vail Valley community. With over ten years of sales and hospitality experience prior to entering real estate and a passion for living, giving, and serving where her roots are, Kaeli was eager to marry those experiences and share the excitement, emotions, and rewards with her clients in their residential real estate purchases and sales. She has placed tremendous emphasis on communication, rapport, and confidence with everyone she works alongside and cheers them on from start to finish with genuine care and compassion. It is her life long purpose to help others, and find a way to be part of a solution in all aspects of her life personal and professional.

The Vail Board of Realtors® and Vail Multi-list Service provides essential services to over 700 Realtor® Members throughout the Vail Valley. Our strength comes from our Membership as a whole and is expressed through active volunteers who are the leadership and future of the Association.

We look to Realtor® Members for new leadership to guide us into the future. We have openings on VBR & VMLS Boards of Directors, as well as on committees and task forces for those who are newer to volunteer leadership. Please, consider joining the Realtor® leadership ranks as either a committee member or Board of Director. 

Board of Directors

What does a Board Member do?
Through Strategic Planning and monthly meetings, Board Members act to guide, direct and monitor actions of committees and Board staff to create and maintain valuable services. Board Members assure the Board’s finances are sound via effective financial management in annual budgeting and monitored through monthly updates. Directors maintain awareness of all internal and external forces that may affect members, communicating and acting on those matters through the Board of Directors.


Listed below are the essential requirements for service as a VBR or VMLS Director:
• Commit to a two-year term of service on the Board of Directors and maintain Realtor® Membership
• Attend and participate in Board Strategic Planning and/or Leadership Training when scheduled
• Attend Monthly Board meetings, General Membership meetings and other events of the Board, and sometimes address the membership in these venues as needed within your position’s duties
• Prepare for all Board meetings by familiarizing themselves with the information provided in the monthly agenda and attachments prior to the meeting date (provided exclusively via email);
• Should have experience serving on either a committee or the Board of Directors of a Realtor® Association or MLS Service within the past five years, but is not required;
• All Directors are encouraged to serve on at least one committee in conjunction with service as a Director.

Nominations are currently closed. If you would like to petition to be added to the ballot. Please see the following steps below.  

Any member in good standing may petition to have their name added to the ballot. A petition for nomination must be signed by a minimum of 10% of the members eligible to vote (72 signatures minimum) and delivered to Erica Kirk at the VBR office by Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 5pm. There is no specific form required to petition. However, a petition should state the position for which a member is running. Each signature should be accompanied by a legibly printed name.

Elections will be conducted via electronic voting beginning on 9/19 at 9am and ending on 10/3 at 5pm.

Ballots will be sent to your e-mail address on record with the VBR.


Committees

Our committees are made up of members who graciously volunteer their time to help strengthen the association's events, services, member offerings, and strategic plan initiatives.

The Vail Board of Realtors® is always looking for new volunteers! Please take this opportunity to review where you might enjoy serving! Simply check off or prioritize the committees you might be interested in (e.g. 1-3, 1 being the most preferred committee) and return to the VBR offices via email, or drop it off in person. 

In most cases, the respective Committee Chairs select the committee volunteers. On some committees, open seats are
limited, and can only be joined when the leadership year turns over (December 1st –November 31st). However, most committees can be joined at any point during the year!

Frequency of committee meetings range from 3 – 10 meetings per year, depending. Meetings can range from once meeting every other month (education, membership, etc), to a concentrated grouping of meetings leading up to a big
project/event (golf tournament). Call or email staff for details on any specific committee you might be interested in.
